Task Description

When selecting the new accent colour from the ColorPicker, the accent colour for the application should update in realtime to show how it looks.

The Settings window should be forced to its Active state so it is drawn with the colour while the ColorPicker is active.

0%
Task Description

Instead of using a ToolBar, change it into a set of buttons and add a watermark behind them so it better fits in with the rest of the application’s style.

196Backend / CoreFeatureLowLowAdd Extended InstrumentationAssigned
0%
Task Description

Added support for extended instrumentation. Displaying the extended instrumentation for a device opens a new window that shows additional instrumentation.

190User InterfaceBug Report (major)MediumHighHidden main window results in wrong metrics on restartAssigned
0%
Task Description

If the main window is hidden to the system tray and the application is closed, starting the application again results in the main window having completely wrong metrics. This should already be taken account for within the AppFramework but it doesn’t seem to work with WoLEX.

As a workaround for now, the OpenState option has been removed from the main window.

185User InterfaceOverhaulLowLowRedesign the General tab of Device EditorAssigned

Task Description

The General tab of the Device Editor doesn’t look very good, so redesign it.

0%
Task Description

Add a context menu to the instrumentation panel (bottom of main window) that allows the quick enabling and disabling of the displayed categories.

This should disable fetching of the respective category rather than just not update the category’s display.

166User InterfaceBug Report (minor)LowLowDuplicates of address book entries appearing on G19 LCDAssigned

Task Description

Setting G14/G19 LCD support to Basic List (sometimes?) results in the list on the LCD showing duplicate entries.

151User InterfaceEnhancementMediumMediumAdd form-wide hotkeys to each windowAssigned
20%
Task Description

Add form-wide hotkey support to each window.

Task Description

Right-clicking on an entry within the Auto-Discovery list allows the individual copying of its IP/MAC address, and All (both) addresses.

Support was added in v2.50 for allowing the customising of the format of the All copy.

Add support for the customisation of the IP and MAC addresses, too.

148User InterfaceOverhaulVery LowVery LowChange all icons to Metro-styleAssigned
0%
Task Description

There is somewhat of an inconsistency when it comes to the (custom) Metro-style interface and the icons that are used. While I think they work well together (well, they don’t look bad - let’s just put it that way), using true flat-style icons should improve the whole look of the application.

Changes are I’ll use the Font Awesome 5 icons depending on how that project shapes up; if not, then I’ll use my current icon pack instead.

Task Description

Move all calls to MessageBox.Show within the source code to call Methods within Common.Messages to help with localisation.

0%
Task Description

By default, WoLEX takes the system accent colour and uses it for accenting various windows and controls to give it a personalised look.

Overriding the colour via Settings - Interface - Override accent colour changes that accent, but toolbars don’t take on the change without requiring a restart.

137User InterfaceEnhancementVery LowVery LowPurchase Metro-style icon packAssigned
0%
Task Description

If enough people buy a WoLEX license, use the money to purchase a proper Metro-style icon pack to help enhance the interface.

136User InterfaceEnhancementVery LowLowAdd further customisation options for the main windowAssigned
0%
Task Description

Add additional options for customising how the main window and its listview looks, so the user can make it fit in more with their system if they’re the customising-type.

Essentially, make it like Desktop BBC News.

127User InterfaceBug Report (minor)MediumHighSpurious Device status notificationsNew
0%
Task Description

Device toast notifications seem to appear when they aren’t warranted. Some devices even keep displaying notifications one after another, endlessly.

When WoLEX starts, it marks each devices’ status as their initial state and keeps a note of them, but not notification about that initial is displayed as it isn’t even remotely useful and just adds visual noise.

Despite the above, a notification is still sometimes displayed about that initial state - which is entirely wrong.

126User InterfaceEnhancementLowLowAdd more actions to device EventsNew
0%
Task Description

Add additional actions to the Events tab of the Device Editor, such as running programs, Custom Actions, and more.

120Backend / CoreFeatureVery LowVery LowAdd configurable instrumentationNew
0%
Task Description

Allow the user to choose which instrumentation categories to display within the main interface.

The problems with this is positioning of that data, and how to allow the user to enter the performance counter names. This could be a huge amount of work, so maybe allow the input of names directly by directing them to use the built-in Windows perf counter app to obtain the counter names.

117Backend / CoreEnhancementMediumMediumComplete the Network Adapters form to show all NICs on ...New
10%
Task Description

While using the drop-down menu to select the Network Card for the local machine within the Device Editor is the best way to choose a NIC, it really doesn’t help when specifying the NIC for a remote machine.

Because of this, a Network Adapters selection form has been added. Currently, it only allows the manual input of a NIC name, with the later intention displaying a list of all NICs on a remote machine.
