Oh, I think these are all being ORed together, but I expected that each category would be ANDed.

For example, if I tick

  • Tweetdeck
  • 2011

I was expecting to see tweets from 2011 using Tweetdeck, but I get all tweets from 2011 and all tweets from Tweetdeck.

So maybe this is a feature request to be able to control this ;)

Right, you can't tell anyone what I'm about to tell you, okay? It's gonna be our secret.

I didn't expect anyone else to use Twitter Delitter and it's much-less featured than I'd want it to be, especially for its original 1.00 release. It was mainly for my own use, so I didn't need to add features that I didn't need. For example, compare the Twitter Delitter task list to, say, the FileSieve or Wake On LAN Ex lists. (make sure to select the All filter to see Closed items)

Now that there seems to be people actually using it, I'm going to have to redesign parts of it; the filtering is a bit rubbish. Although - although! - there was originally going to be NOT support, I kinda forgot all about it after I realised it wouldn't work with the list-based filtering approach.

I'll add a task to the tracker for rewriting the filtering. Task 0000403 is supposed to alleviate the shortcomings of the current filter system, but maybe it's just best to rewrite it at this point rather than add a whole parsing system to the search bar.

Added a dedicated task 0000453 for the filtering system.

I promise.

I find the best way to prevent people using my software is not to release it :)

Don't feel the need to do anything based on my reports - it works fine now I know how it works - I was just adding some ideas if you wish to develop/improve it.

Though FWIW, for this particular issue I'd consider just make the filters that are exclusive (like dates) OR together, and others (plus the groups) AND together. Wouldn't require any UI changes and is probably more likely what people would expect.
